Kalibre was founded in mid-1998 by Mc Kanun, Bela, and Mc Cellat. Mc Kanun and Mc Cellat, who had been listening to rap since 1994 and actively started MCing in 1998, initially worked with Pasha and Rapper Bebek in the group Karabasan. After leaving Karabasan, the duo formed Kalibre with Bela, a member of Otopsi from Antalya. In mid-1999, Mc Cellat ended his rap career, reducing the group to two members. During this time, Mc Kanun continued working with RespotRap, and Bela continued working with Otopsi, both as a feature and solo artist. In the summer of 2000, Mc Namlu, the MC of the Adrianapolis group from Edirne, joined the group. Namlu later left the group. Kalibre, under the name Respotrap & Kalibre, has performed in dozens of venues in Ankara, Sakarya, and Istanbul. They contributed a song to the album 'Altin Vurus', produced by MC Kanun, one of the group members. The group also has several songs that are not currently available on the market. Kalibre is participating in UDDY with Kin aka Southwester, a member of the Tatbikat group from Antalya, on the song “Seytanın Tetigi”. The music for the track was produced by DJ Walkie D, known from Kalibre's other works, and the recording and mastering were done at Digitalmix Studios. Kalibre is currently actively featured in many compilation albums such as KRE, UNDE-R-AP POSSE, HIPHOP MENÜ, HIPHOP MADE IN TURKEY, and ALTIN VURUS 2…
