WHAT IS KUVVETMIRA?

It was an underground hip-hop project planned by DJ Mic Check at the end of 1998. This project was comprehensive and aimed at helping and supporting those trying to make music underground. You can think of it as the name given to DJ Mic Check's house. This house is a hip-hop house, and only true hip-hop listeners can enter :) As part of the project, a number of devices are provided to rappers. These devices and the technical equipment used can be listed as follows; 1- 4 turntables - 2 Technics 1210 MK2 and 2 Gemini PT 2000 Professional direct drive systems

At Kuvvetmira, there are no samplers or modules, and there won't be. Because to truly make the work creative, there are no samplers. Many devices will be acquired for the Kuv kuvvetmira studio in the coming days, but initially, this creativity needs to be restricted and stifled. Right now, we are quite self-sufficient and don't need any additional equipment. In short, Kuv kuvvetmira has very modest tools and equipment; there aren't as many advanced devices and programs as one might think. The advanced equipment is the producer, mic check, and MCs. Creativity is what creates good rap.

HOW ARE THE COMMANDS OF THE ARMY DETERMINED?

The MCs who will work with Kuvvetmira must absolutely be individuals with their own style. We have never worked with MCs who use old, primitive flows. We are generally very selective, and that's why the number of MCs we work with is quite small. Every MC in Kuvvetmira is also a very good rap listener. These MCs, who bring their ideas to the forefront in various songs, take on the biggest creative role in the songs made. So far, no rapper has joined Kuvvetmira with just a demo. The rappers who have worked with Kuvvetmira to date have been well-known in Turkey, very successful in their concerts, and stand out with their own style.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR JOINING THE MILITARY FORCES?

First, a demo is required. These demos are mailed to DJ Mic Check's home address. At least 3 of your songs must be recorded in their full versions, followed by your own introduction, a recording of where you recorded the songs in your own voice. If you are a group, you introduce your group. The sound quality of your demo isn't that important. All you need to do is record the sound of your vocals in your 3 songs, and of course, the lyrics and your rapping style. This way, your demo will be listened to and selected by successful MCs from Kuvvetmira, DJ Mic Check and Ceza. Emails are sent to those who pass each selection process. This can be both good and bad, but we can still contact the demo owners via email. For groups or rappers who are reading this and want to send their demos, our demo address is:

MCs AND GROUPS-PROJECTS IN THE FORCE OF MUNICIPALITY?

We continue to get to know KuvvetMira through DJ Mic Check himself…

To date, some of the songs made by Kuvvetmira have been discarded and lost, while others are still preserved in the archives. The first sub-group of Kuvvetmira was BAB-I DERGAH (Dergah Gate), formed by YARGIC MASTA KARA and CAMBAZ. The group's first song was DERGAHIN KAPILARI (The Gates of the Dergah), but as mentioned earlier, it has been lost to the public. Apart from this, the group called EKIP, which has now disbanded for important reasons, also played an important role in Kuvvetmira's 3-year history. Although the group formed by LA-NET and D-RYN DR-BEH disbanded, one of the MCs, D-RYN DR-BEH, changed his name to DERIN DARBE and decided to make music only in the hardcore underground scene. We can call Derin Darbe a Sagopa Kajmer soldier. For those who don't know him yet, let's remind you that Derin Darbe raps in the same style as Sagopa Kajmer. In terms of sound, he has more fantastic and hard beats. He doesn't have the overly fantastical pessimistic sound like Sagopa. Derin Darbe's last song was UCUZ FAHISE, which he made before going to the army. And finally, two weeks ago, the soldier who was deeply wounded returned from military service. He received his discharge papers and is back among us. Very soon, his underground EP, a 5-track CD, will be available on the Silahsız Kuvvet website.

After the deep blow, the productive team that joined Kuvvetmira and worked there for a long time was SOZLU TAARRUZ. MISTA MISERO, who stated that they were inspired by DJ Mic Check both in terms of sound and lyrics and weren't afraid to do so, officially formed the group two years ago. Just as they were about to start recording their album at the Mira studio, the group members decided to go their own way. They are doing seriously good things and are still part of the Kuvetmira support unit. They are among our closest friends.

Another name is TURBO T. DINDAS . He worked under DJ MIC CHECK's production for approximately two years. Mic Check managed the hip-hop section of the drum and bass group STATIK, and Turbo provided the vocals. Songs like "LANET SEHIR ISTANBUL," "KUKLA," "KUYTU KOSELER," and "TIKTAKTIK" were recorded at KUVVETMIRA studios. The song Turbo Dindas received from DJ MIC CHECK and intended for his album is titled "KUKLA." Due to a falling out with DJ MIC CHECK, the collaboration ended, and the recording of the song "SAADETIN ADI," which was to be given to him, could not be realized. Unlike other members of Kuvvetmira who have disbanded or gone solo, Turbo Dindas has no further connection with the Kuvvetmira family.

CEZA (NEFRET): With Ceza's inclusion in Kuvvetmira, everything took 10 steps forward. Within a week of his arrival, he and DJ Mic Check formed the "TOPLAMA KAMPI" project. Later, due to the press and media, the group name was changed to "ASYASENTEZ," removing the aggressive element. The current status of Asya Sentez's new album is this: Mic Check and Ceza will first finish the "Nefret" and "Silahsız Kuvvet II" album projects, and then work more carefully on Asya Sentez before releasing it. For now, we can say Asya Sentez is on hiatus, but that doesn't mean they won't be going into the studio to make a song anytime soon :) They could, at any moment :)

DU-MANYAK : Duman is a rapper who suddenly rose to prominence with his unique style. He's from Karşıyaka, İzmir, and possesses a very distinctive style. For those who haven't listened to him before, let me remind you that on your first listen, you might confuse English with Turkish. The reason is his excellent flow in Turkish. Duman is a very successful rapper in terms of flow, and he's DJ Mic Check's favorite. Both his mentality and lyrics are aggressive, but they're also about truth and falsehood. What is done and written is only the truth. With this mentality, and with his first album, we think DUMANYAK will soon be the talk of the town. While you said the Kuvvetmira sound crew would grow day by day, in reality, we're going through quite a drought because we haven't been able to find good vocalists and lyricists. The Mira family, which always embraces innovation and creativity, hasn't had anyone join in the last three months. Especially important songs on the album include "PILIMIZ BITMEZ," "DUMANYAK STYLA," "RUYALAR" featuring Ceza and Mic Check, and of course, "BIZIZ…INSAN." DUMANYAK also has the distinction of being the back vocalist at Silahsız Kuvvet concerts.

CURRENT UPDATE : DJ MIC CHECK has been quite stressed lately. Because of this, he's decided to take a break from rap. He'll be resting for about a month. During this time, he will be attending concerts and festivals such as DUMANYAK, SILAHSIZ KUVVET, MIA SKATE PARK, and H2001. In early July, work on Silahsız Kuvvet's new album will accelerate. It's estimated that Silahsız Kuvvet will return with a brand new album in the upcoming autumn-winter season. Another album announcement during this period is Dumanyak. We think the focus will be on the Dumanyak album first. We want everyone to get to know this crazy guy and understand his style as soon as possible.
