Recently, İrem Records has become the go-to distributor for Turkish Rap albums. Following Fuat, albums by Makale, Sagopa Kajmer, and Kolera, all produced by Aykut Gürel and released under the İrem Records label, are now available on shelves. Born in Berlin in 1972 to a family from Şile who immigrated to Germany in 1969, he left school in the 5th grade in 1984 and returned to Turkey. After six years of schooling in Turkey, he returned to Germany. In 1989, he worked in transportation, postal services, dog-assisted security, and glass transportation in Germany. In 1993, he wrote his first rap song in English. In 1995, he decided to write his raps in Turkish. He made his debut in Germany with the group MOR. Between 1999 and 2003, he released the albums Hassickdir 1, 2, 3, Bonobo 1 Panzer, and Rapüstad, and also appeared on albums such as MOR (NLP), MOR (NEP), and Fettfleck Sampler Vol. 1. He gave nearly 400 concerts in almost every city in Germany, as well as in Turkey, Austria, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Northern Cyprus. He toured Turkey and Europe with Ceza and collaborated with numerous local and international musicians. In 2002, he was featured on the album "The World according to RZA," released worldwide, and worked with Wu Tang. He also collaborated with Grand Agent (New York) and Project Blowed (Los Angeles). In 2004, he returned to Turkey permanently. In 2005, he signed a contract with İremrecords.

The band was founded in 1997. They started spreading Turkish rap by giving numerous concerts.
They recorded in many studios and participated in various compilation albums.

Article CHOLERA -“Quarantine Embryo” *Kolera, one of the names emerging in Turkish rap music in 1998, is also one of the first female representatives of rap in the country. She frequently made a name for herself with her collaborations with Sagopa Kajmer at various times. She made her debut with an underground demo EP. During this period, she received high praise from rap listeners with many underground hip-hop works. Also in '98, she did breakdance work with important dance groups such as Lords Of Istanbul and Takım 34, and took her first Lockin & Poppin lessons from Sagopa Kajmer. Important breakers of the time, Steff, Kayhan, and Jay One, supported Kolera in both dance and rap. She accompanied Sagopa Kajmer with her own clever rhymes on the song "Kalp Atışlarım 78 Bpm" from Sagopa Kajmer's album "Bir Pesimistin Gözyaşları". They especially created hip-hop classics in 2004-05 with two hits, "Aklımın Odaları" and "Günlerim Ağlak". Of course, their last collaboration was on Sagopa Kajmer's super hit "Romantizma," featuring the song "Sago vs Kolera."
*The long-awaited Kolera album was finally completed in 2005. Recording took four months. Produced by Sagopa Kajmer, the 16-track album is a true lyrical and musical peak in Turkish rap. Undoubtedly, it's the most authentic female MC album released in Turkish rap to date. Previous female MC albums were significantly lacking in sound and rhyme, and equally weak. Kolera's "Karantina Embryo" is a serious rap album that fills these gaps. Philosophy, literature, essays, the spiritual world, divinity, satire, therapy, entertainment, humorous metaphors, and of course, well-structured rhymes are the elements that characterize Kolera's rap.
*Kolera's first solo album, "Karantina Embryo," was named by his own listeners. The album features collaborations with prominent figures from the Kuvvetmira Headquarters, such as Sagopa Kajmer, Abluka Alarm, and Derin Darbe. Cem Yılmaz, a master of Turkish comedy and stand-up, contributed beats to the songs "Aklımın Odaları" and "El İzi Koleksiyonum" on the album. The album also includes a beat for Derin Darbe and another for Abluka Alarm. All scratches and the entire album's production were handled by Sagopa Kajmer.
*Kuvvetmira has undoubtedly been illuminating Turkish Rap since 1998. From its beginning, Kolera has been a part of this world, and with his lyrics and voice, he has managed to guide his listeners. In 2005, together with Sagopa Kajmer, they officially founded their own record label, MELANKOLIA RECORDS, and through this label, they are paving the way for many new talents.
*A graduate of Kolera Tourism and Hotel Management College, he finished his studies as the top student in his department. His favorite producers and MCs include EL-P. He enjoys Turkish works from the 1970s, uses oil painting to relieve stress, loves Kentucky Fried Chicken, is a big fan of his own music, enjoys scratching with turntables in his free time, his favorite mixer is the Vestax PMC-05 Pro III, his favorite DJ is D-Styles. He enjoys watching DJ Q-Bert's shows and appreciates well-made, polished films.
İremrecords is pleased to bring Kolera's "Karantina Embryo" to its listeners. Sagopa Kajmer – Testament music video The first music video from Sagopa Kajmer's album "Romantizma," released under the İremrecords label, has been completed. The video was created using footage taken in Iraq by the esteemed journalist, photographer, and war correspondent Sebati Karakurt.
Sebati Karakurt says, "When I do my job, I am not biased, nor am I ever on the side of any party; I simply portray life as it unfolds. Therefore, I go to places that cannot be reached, enter places that cannot be entered, and convey the ongoing life to the world." These words also apply to Sagopa Kajmer; he depicts life as it is, with its joys and sorrows, without hiding, concealing, or deceiving, in his album and in his song "Vasiyet" (Testament).
While war rages on, the usual daily life continues in the gym, as do the conversations between Iraqi children and American soldiers… A Palestinian-born American female soldier and an American soldier born in Tel Aviv blow out their birthday candles at the same time, again while the war continues in Iraq… As real and undeniable as birth and death are, so too is the life that unfolds between them… Within this reality, everyone is simply fulfilling the task assigned to them… Although it may seem as if humanity is offered many choices, the right to choose is not that great…
For the 3-minute 40-second video clip, conceived by Aykut Gürel and directed by Kubilay Kasap, tens of thousands of photographs taken by Sebati Karakurt were scanned. Over 300 photographs, including those from the most brutal locations of the war such as Fallujah, Sadr, Baghdad, Ramadi, and Sadun, were used to create the clip. The only photographs ever taken of the resistance fighters in Fallujah, which no journalist in the world has yet managed to capture, the heartbreaking images of the Abugreb prison where people were executed two by two during the Saddam era, and an American soldier trying to revive an Iraqi woman with artificial respiration…
In short, it's life itself...
