Finally, our music video for "Bak," which took a long time and a lot of effort to make, is finished. It's currently in the main rotation on the Viva channel, and we're very happy about that. We put a lot of effort into this video; this track, which we made with Black Tiger, the first artist to rap in Swiss-German in Switzerland, is very important to us.
This track, composed of Turkish and Swiss-German, is a first and a great act of solidarity. We are sure it will create a big stir. Some say the article is about wealth and resources; there are many in the market who speak without knowing. We do everything ourselves, with very limited resources. We work day and night, looking for sponsors for our videos, and thanks to those who support us and believe in the quality of our work, these projects come to fruition. This is how we managed to establish our own platform. This work has been going on for 10 years; it's not easy…

When we first started in Switzerland, there were people who didn't even know what Turkish rap was, but now we're slowly seeing some movement. Before us, there were groups like Asiatic Connection, MC Orhan, and Orient System, all based in Basel and making rap with Turkish lyrics. We, on the other hand, have been on this path since 1997 and have produced a lot of work for our scene, and there will certainly be more to come.

In last week's interview, our statement "There's a lot of imitation" caused a stir, and a few bird-brained idiots took notes without thinking, resulting in a huge number of people taking offense. Very few people in Türkiye know about Hip Hop culture; how many genuinely love and practice it? How many know Boogiedown, Deathrow, and DefJam? Even more importantly, how many people scratch on a Technics MK2 turntable? Participate in competitions? Personally, we don't know any... There aren't any... No DJs... No scene... Unfortunately, it's not enough to just pick up a microphone and rap. Some say we should learn Turkish... That's very easy to say; someone who hasn't lived abroad wouldn't understand, and could never understand, what it's like to grow up between two cultures. And our Turkish is perfectly fine, nobody should worry about that.

We've been meaning to explain the sample issue for a while now, and finally the time has come. The track is "Askim," and yes, the sample is inspired by a sample CD. However, the entire instrumental track, drums, etc., were created by Misda Oz. The guitar and saxophone were recorded in Istanbul, Türkiye. But there's nothing to misunderstand here; Sagopa Kajmer, for example, often uses samples from his songs as is, without changing anything. We don't actually use samples at all, maybe in 2-3 tracks… whatever suits our taste.

Some people don't even know Makale yet; everyone knows Makale from the very beginning, when he started with the same enthusiasm. They say we're making pop music, they say we can't write lyrics… We don't care about those who think like that; we're preparing our third album now, and it will be a very good one. We make our music the way we want, and besides, how many people really value Turkish rap anyway?! Our people lack unity and solidarity… For some reason, we love to throw mud. And we rappers have to deal with the comments of 15-18 year old idiots…

We've bought every album released so far; we have a huge archive of Turkish Rap, from the most popular to the unheard of. What does Ceza say in "What I Wanted and Couldn't Do"? Have you forgotten? For example, who understood or cared about what Ceza, Sagopa Kajmer, Turbo, and Fuat have done so far? Fuat came all the way from Germany, Ceza is working very hard, Sagopa Kajmer has always been producing, and we could go on and on about what Turbo has done. Then a guy named "Baris Baytöre" comes out and says in an interview that he's a real MC?! They ask him the meaning of MC: Maestro Control!? he says. Then there are statements like "Don't write articles, don't do that, there's no imitation in Türkiye." It's a shame... a great shame... if even those who call themselves MCs don't know the meaning of MC.

We remained silent for a long time regarding the article, always preferring to stay in the background. But those days are over now; everyone can interpret this writing as they wish.
