Snoop Ra: We have Crak Baba, one of Germany's powerful voices! Could you introduce Crak Baba a little? Crak: I've been involved in the Hip Hop world since I was little. I tried to master every path in Hip Hop; but in the end, rap caught my attention. Besides that, I've been playing the saz (a Turkish stringed instrument) for 20 years. My whole life has been dedicated to music, and God willing, I would like to support Turkish folk music as well.
Snoop Ra: First of all, you have a nice surprise for Turkish rap fans: you're releasing your second album! Can we get some information about the album, when it will be released, and what features will be featured?

Crak: I can't give a definite date yet because we're still working on the album. This album won't feature anyone other than my brother; that's what we wanted since it's my first solo album. The album is entirely in Turkish, with various styles, and the rest will be a surprise.

Snoop Ra: Will we be able to hear the album in Türkiye, and are you planning a concert tour?

Crak: Hopefully things will turn out as we're thinking, brother. Of course, we'd like to release it in Türkiye, and we'll be back home for concerts. We also want to deliver the album to Turks living abroad; it's our duty.

Snoop Ra: "Crak Baba" made a big splash, and people will have the chance to hear you release a solo album after 11 years. What was the reason for waiting so long?

Crak: I went through a serious illness a few years ago, thank God I recovered, and I've been working with music in between, but I haven't released much. Besides that, I toured and worked with my No Remorze team, so I didn't consider making a solo album. A few years ago, we heard that our song "Azgın Azrail" (Fragile Grim Reaper) was popular, so we lovingly continued with Turkish rap, but I will never neglect my other languages.

Snoop Ra: What are the differences between the 1995 album and the upcoming album?

Crak: We made the first one with my team, No Remorze, and the raps on that album were entirely in English. My themes have always remained the same, thought-provoking, and this album features my Turkish rap style from beginning to end.

Snoop Ra: Killa Hakan's new album is coming out and you have a feature on it that I really like. Could you tell us about the making of that song, how it came about?

Crak: - Hakan sent me the instrumental, we chose a topic, I recorded the acapellas in our studio and sent them to him, then Hakan recorded his own rap and the track was complete.

Snoop Ra: Crak Dad has a band, could we get some information about it? Will there be any new projects with your band? If so, what are they?

Crak: To be honest, we were rocking the scene with No Remorze, and a lot of people in Europe were supporting us. As I said earlier, we were going to continue working, but let's see, maybe it will happen in the future. DJ Stylewarz and TNG are currently working on their own projects, while DJ Kaoz and I are creating the Crak album.

Snoop Ra: Successful artists like Ceza and Sirhot have done duets with artists outside of rap; would you consider doing a duet like that?

Crak: Of course I'd love to, I enjoy working with other artists, you're always learning new things, and in the end, if we've created a great piece, then great fun! 😉

What are Snoop Ra's (Crack Dad's) future plans? Will he become a producer and start his own company?

Crak: Honestly, I've already thought about that. I need to learn more to do those things, but in the coming years I'll dedicate myself completely to music. What's important to me is finishing what I start. Of course, I'm learning a bit about producing from DJ Kaoz; he's managing the whole album. My manager explains everything to me, and that's how I'm progressing step by step.

SnooP Ra: Turkish rap is growing day by day, and new names are emerging as well as established ones. Where do you see Turkish rap in the next stage?

Crak: Turkish rap is expanding, that's for sure, but we need to keep going. I hope Turkish-Hip Hop will take the world by storm. Turks live in almost every country in the world, many young people support Hip Hop, especially Turkish-language rap has taken the scene by storm in recent years. Nobody should say that Turkish rap is child's play, so we need to unite and show the Hip Hop world Turkish-Hip Hop – I'm in, you're in, and young people, let's get to work!!!

SnooP Ra: For those unfamiliar with the rap scene in Germany, could you describe it from the perspective of a true rapper?

Crak: Germany is a bit sluggish right now. A few artists released some great albums this year, but I've seen better days. I think Germany needs a new Crak album... I know many people make good rap in Germany, so I know there will be more quality artists, but right now I listen to very little German rap, and I don't like the rest at all.

Snoop Ra: For example, there are very few record companies in Türkiye, and it's difficult to release albums with official labels. Do you encounter such problems?

Crak: Actually, no, not in Europe, but there are different living conditions in Türkiye.
And that's my manager's job.

Snoop Ra: What qualities do you look for in the rappers who will be featured on your project?

Crak: It's very easy, for me, they need to be someone with character and they need to be good at their job. I don't like sloppy work; either we do the job perfectly, or we don't do it at all.

Snoop Ra: Considering Turkish rap, both in the past and present, what are its positive and negative aspects in your opinion?

Crak: Positive aspect: Many young people have dedicated themselves to this, filling their free time and standing up against adversity. Negative aspect: Hip Hop is not yet fully accepted in Turkey, which means, in my opinion, some could do their jobs better.

Snoop Ra: Finally, I'll write again, the feature on Killa Hakan's album is extraordinary, and you're such a rapper too, I hope we always hear your voice. Lastly, do you have anything to say about the Suikast.de team and its members?

Crak: Your support makes me happy, thank you brothers, the work you do brings abundance to the Hip Hop world. I sincerely and wholeheartedly wish everyone a happy Eid al-Adha and a happy new year.
