1- Greetings… first, could you please introduce yourself, AdrianaPolis?

REPLY:

Namlu -> Born in Edirne in 1985. He met TüRKÇERAP in 1995. He started actively rapping in 1997. Currently preparing for high school, Namlu is constantly creating new works for TüRKÇERAP. Along with Hücum, he is the lyricist for the group. Outside of TüRKÇERAP, he also writes for Wall Bomberz, one of Türkiye's best graffiti groups, under the name Freak.

B-Dushche[dü$çe] -> Born in Edirne in 1983, Dushche is the female member of the group. Currently preparing for university entrance exams, Dushche's literary essays are later turned into rap by Hücum and Namlu.

Hücum -> Born in Istanbul in 1982. Currently preparing for university entrance exams. He discovered Turkish rap through Cartel. Later, he listened to other Turkish rap groups. After realizing that the foreign rap groups he listened to before 1995 didn't offer him anything [The lyrics were naturally incomprehensible when in English, and rhythm alone wasn't enough!], he decided to make Turkish rap. He writes the lyrics for the group together with Namlu. Note: Hücum and Dushche are the vocalists 😉

Balistik -> Born in Edirne in 1982. Currently preparing for university entrance exams. He's been living and breathing rap for a long time. Besides TÜRKÇERAP, he leads the Wall Bomberz graffiti group under the name Brute. He met TÜRKÇERAP during the Cartel era. He handles the lyrics editing along with Dushche. He also DJs at the group's parties.

R-Man -> Born in Vienna in 1975[?]. Besides his well-known work as a producer for turc.de, he is involved in the management and DJing of the group. Apart from that, he works as a computer programmer for a company in Germany.

Kural -> Born in Kirklareli in 1982. Currently a university student. He became acquainted with TÜRKÇERAP around the same time as Hücum. He started writing his first raps with Hücum in the 97s. And he has been constantly involved with TÜRKÇERAP since AdrianaPolis was formed. He has a hand in some of the group's music, along with R-Man.

2- Where did the name AdrianaPolis come from?

REPLY:

When we merged as Infaz Mangasi and Direni$, we felt the need to change our name for several reasons. These reasons were: we thought a new group needed a new name, and the names Infaz Mangasi and Direni$ were a bit harsh and political. Later, we adopted the name ADRIANAPOLIS, the old name of Edirne. It turned out to be a nice name 😉 The only problem was that the name had 12 letters. But we solved that too. We sometimes shorten the name to AP. And one more thing. We have the same C®Y thing you have! But it's even better 🙂 ®AP!

3. When is the album coming out?

REPLY:

Hopefully after MTY. And very soon! Our discussions have already begun. But before that, Marmara is One Fist! One Heart! One Arm!

4. What projects have you been involved in so far, or what projects will you be involved in?

REPLY:

We haven't been involved in any projects until today. We'll only be contributing one track to the Unde-R-ap Posse project. So, as you can understand, MTY will be our first commercial venture!

5- As far as we know, MTY is being continued by HUCUM. A little about the project.
Can we get some information?

REPLY:

MTY consists of illegal, Mc Zehir, SertDarbe, Reaksiyon, Tehdit, @ulisyon, 5Kari$, Güruh, and us, AdrianaPolis. Unless something goes wrong, MTY will be released this summer or at the latest by the end of summer. The album will have 17 tracks, including one intro track. If you ask for a brief summary of MTY, we can say this: “THE UNDERGROUND COULDN'T BE BROUGHT TOGETHER ANY BETTER THAN THIS!..” This album will shake up the market and surprise everyone! Just wait and see... A big music company! Big producers! A big sponsor! And big voices!

6- Could I get your comments on the rap scene in Turkey?

REPLY:

In our opinion, the market hasn't formed yet. There are many talented artists, but they can't get their act together. Some of those who do get their act together think they're number one with just one or two demos. [Here, it's worth recalling the Prophet's words: Number one is TURKISH SCREEN! Microphones come and go!] Those who understand that it's not just about production will bring new excitement to the market. As for the development of the market; they shouldn't leave it in the hands of those they consider "big"! Instead, they should focus on the media. In other words, they should attract the attention of the media, not the "big" individuals!

7- Can we get AdrianaPolis's "BEST" in Turkish Rap?

REPLY:

The Worst -> There is no bad! There are only missing and excessive aspects!
The Best -> Those that have neither too many nor too few aspects!

8- Adriana: Who is the police listening to?

REPLY:

It's a fact that we listen to more underground artists than mainstream artists. The list is endless. Besides rap, we also listen to other types of music. For example, Dushche listens to Düş Sokagi Sakinleri, Hücum listens to arabesque music, Balistik ve Namlu listens to hardcore, and Kural listens to original music! Ultimately, we believe in the universality of music! We listen to whatever we like!

9. Who would you like to collaborate with?

REPLY:

First of all, we would love to do duets with the entire MTY family. Besides that, we would love to do another duet with Redmaiden, who accompanied us on the song "The Back of the Medallion". We also think we'll be doing a feat with Deep10Core soon. We would love duets with Hedef 12, Dehşet, and Gerilim Hatti. And finally, we would love to have another chance with Wu-Tang Clan, a chance we once had but missed! [Those interested can email me... It's impossible to explain everything here ;)]
