– Hi Dr. Fuchs, I want to welcome you back to the Turkish rap scene after 18 months of military service, and I'd like to start with your military service… How was your military service? -My first adventure started in Manisa-Kırkağaç, then I did my military service in Ağrı-Doğubeyazıt Commando, as befitted me, and I proudly wore the blue beret for 18 months. -Did anyone recognize you in the army? -Honestly, not many people recognized me, and thankfully they didn't. Dealing with fans for 18 months would have been difficult, and besides, I didn't even try to promote myself... -In the places you were in the east, were there any who knew or had heard of Türkrap? -For example, some local radio stations in the area where I was stationed were playing the song "VATAN" (Homeland)... I told my company commander about myself and this song, and he immediately remembered it... and I told him that we did it after "Apo" was captured, which surprised him a lot because a long time had passed since then, and I was doing my military service as a commando in the same place where he was... -Can we post our military uniform photos online? -The intelligence is forbidden due to the pain, it's all hidden with me... -Is there any news regarding the third album by "Nefret"? -There are no preparations for the 3rd album right now...when I came back from the army, Ceza had already started his second solo album...7 songs were finished. Meanwhile, I also prepared my own solo album... -What will the album be called? -“I have no peace… I haven’t found peace,” it means a distress caused by not being able to see rap music where I want it to be, and its second meaning for me is death… I believe I will find peace when I die… As long as I am alive, there will always be a problem… a new problem arises, there is no moment without problems, there is always restlessness… -How many tracks will be on the album? -There will be around 20 tracks... In this album, I compromised my own style a bit to explain rap to Turkish people, but there are also many tracks in my own style. -Are you thinking of making a music video for the album? -“I Threw It in the Air” and “Rap on My Tongue” – one of these two songs will have a music video…and it will be included in the album….. -Which artists are featured on the album? -Nine Lives Monster (Recayi), Miccheck, Funky-C, Mısta Brown and my brother H-Run (URA)... I made this album with the great support of DJ Miccheck and Funky-C; the production belongs to both of them. We will be going into a second studio starting tomorrow, and I plan to release it in December... -Recently, your solo projects with Ceza have been making headlines. What would you like to say about them? -First of all, everyone should know that we are not rivals; we both do the same work, only we are rivals in the commercial field. Even if I have a problem with Ceza, it's within the realm of hatred and doesn't concern anyone else. Nobody should waste their breath; everyone should mind their own business... look at the work we do... By the way, in the underground operation, there's a diss track by Recayi on my album in response to something Ceza said, and Ceza knows about it, he listened to it, there's no problem. If he has a response, we'll listen to it from Ceza as well... -Have you received offers from different music companies? -Yes, it's here...actually, this album was going to be a collaboration between Hammer and Erol Köse, but it didn't happen because Köse Productions closed down... -Is it true that you will be contributing a song titled "Hate" to the soundtrack of Cem Yılmaz's highly anticipated film, Gora? -Yes, there is such an offer. We received an offer from Cem Yılmaz, but since the film has been halted, we are currently waiting... -Have there been any similar offers recently? -Doğuş was making a second remix of his song "Buna Aşk Derler" (They Call This Love), and I received an offer from Doğuş through Funky-C, but since they were already planning a second music video for the same song, I didn't feel the need and declined... Meanwhile, Ceza did a collaboration with Burcu Güneş, but I don't have much information about whether it will be released or not... -Fuchs, what do you think is the reason they haven't been able to diss you until now? -They're probably afraid of me getting involved. A diss track against me could have very bad consequences. There are some things I can't accept. For example, Fresh-B and Fuat made some really harsh diss tracks against each other, and then they acted like nothing happened at parties... I couldn't handle that. I'm willing to risk everything. -Since we're on this topic, I'd also like to ask... DJ Miccheck himself told us in an email that Fuat played a significant role in Ceza's departure from Kuvvetmira during his time in Türkiye. What are your thoughts on this? -I haven't heard anything like that yet, but if MIC finds out about any new problems regarding Fuat, the necessary action will be taken. -Did you experience any difficulties after your military service? -When I arrived, I was even afraid of people. I didn't leave the house for two weeks. Without a rifle or equipment, I felt naked. I had difficulty adjusting to normal life for a long time. Everything seemed absurd, empty, and meaningless... -How did this mood reflect in the album? Miccheck and Funky-C worked very hard to motivate me, and that's how I was able to finish the album since I arrived. There are lyrics on the album that I wrote during a time when I was psychologically unstable. -Did you write any lyrics while you were in the army? -I didn't write any lyrics in the army because I couldn't come down from the mountains...the lyrics and the album were all made in the period after I returned from the army.... -One of the things people are curious about is whether you're considering appearing on television programs? -We don't have the luxury of making distinctions right now. We need to quickly introduce and promote rap in Türkiye, so I don't think I have the option of making distinctions between journalists and TV programs... we can be more selective later on. -What is the status of the Istanbul Attack project? -There are no preparations at the moment; I'm working on my solo album during this time and I didn't want to disrupt my concentration... -One more question I'm curious about... Even those who kept rap alive in America eventually reduced the divisions and separation to just Westside and Eastside. In our country, however, there's a constant division and very little unity. What would you like to say about this? -When I arrived, I encountered a very different environment. People have become very sensitive. In this short life, people have become too engrossed in worldly pleasures. Even Erci-e, who has been my friend for years, has changed a lot, but I still love him very much as a friend. But I no longer have the strength to deal with anyone's sensitivity and tantrums. I don't believe that excessive discrimination will improve rap; perhaps we can call it jealousy. I think people should be aware of the work they do, know their responsibilities, and behave more maturely. In America, it's all about material gain; big money is involved. Things are very different in Turkey. Here, I think it's a struggle for existence in the name of rap; there's no chance to make big money like in America. -For a while, hateful phrases like "rich spoiled brats" and "they made albums with their father's money" were circulating. What do you have to say about those? -We've created all these albums from nothing... Ceza and I aren't rich people; I grew up without a father, I lost him at a young age, I never had the chance to live off my father's money. May God leave my late father in peace in his grave... May God punish some ignorant people as they deserve... If we were rich, rap would have exploded by now. What would you say about Miccheck's album? -This is the first time Turkish rap in the world is releasing a double album...it's coming out in December at the same time as mine, we have a lot of confidence in these albums...Turkish rap will really begin after this... - Do you have any new news about the new bands coming out of Hammer? -Ondaon, Modell, our albums, and Ceza's album – music videos will be made for each of them and broadcast on TV. Hammer will cover all the costs for the music videos. Hammer also has some surprise moves in store. We'll see them all together in the coming days. -NOTE: That day, we were also with Recayi, the "Nine Lives Monster," whom we know from the "Serious Muslims" group, one of the established names in Turkish rap, and of course we asked him a few questions about Dr. Fuchs... -Hi DCCfuchs, how did you meet? – I met his brother Harun at a concert in Ankara, and later he invited me to his house. Until then, I hadn't met Fuchs... I saw him for the first time at his house, and we hit it off. I found Fuchs calm and relaxed, and I realized he was a solid guy. Who made the offer for the -feat.? -The offer came from Fuchs and I was happy... -How many features from you are on the album? -There are three features...these are "I Threw It in the Air," "Fight as Long as I Live in This World," and for Mustafa Bush, "The World Keeps Turning." -Yes, DCC, who would you like to send greetings to? "I want to let my brother Edip-g, who is currently in prison, know that he is not forgotten and that I will work with him again when I return to Germany." Greetings to B-Masta and Funky-C from "Men in the Dark"... By the way, I felt the warmth of the rap listeners in Ankara and greetings to them... -I wish you both success on your Turkish rap journey… -thanks… – and finally, anything else you'd like to say…. – First of all, thank you to you and the suikast.de team for conducting this interview. Secondly, thanks to Mic Check, Funky-C, Recayi, my brother H-Run, Mista Brown, and Hammer Music for their contributions to my album… I know Turkish rap fans have been eagerly awaiting me, and I'm returning with a bomb of an album to cleanse their ears of the rust that has accumulated over a long time… I HID MY WAR IN MY LYRICS… the triggering self—ahker
